Family and friends are remembering Kian Cardinal Platt, whose brief but deeply meaningful life touched the hearts of all who knew him. Kian passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2026, at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin at the age of just 1 month and 14 days.
Born on May 23, 2026, Kian was the cherished son of Zoe Platt of Gorham. Though his time on earth was far too short, those closest to him say his life was filled with unconditional love from the moment he arrived. Surrounded by devoted family members who treasured every smile, every moment, and every milestone, Kian quickly became the center of a world built on affection and care.
Loved ones describe Kian as a precious blessing whose presence brought immeasurable joy and hope to his family. While he was only with them for a short time, the memories created during those weeks will remain forever etched in their hearts. His family takes comfort in knowing that every day of his life was spent wrapped in love, warmth, and the gentle embrace of those who adored him.
Kian’s passing has left an enormous void for his mother, relatives, and all who had the privilege of meeting him. Yet amid the sorrow, family members are choosing to celebrate the happiness he brought into their lives and the lasting impact he made despite his young age.
In addition to his mother, Kian is survived by his grandparents, Robert and Terrill Platt of Gorham, and his aunt, Mya Platt, all of whom cherished him deeply. Their love and devotion to him were evident throughout his life and continue as they honor his memory.
Private interment services were held for the family. In remembrance of Kian, loved ones have encouraged donations to David’s House or other charities that support children and families in need.
Though his life lasted only a few weeks, Kian Cardinal Platt’s legacy is one of love, hope, and the profound bond he created with those who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
